Ford built only 19 of them in 1970 only eight are currently known to survive, his model was named after the city of Turin (with Torino being the way to pronounce it in Italian). Initially this car was an upscale version of the intermediate sized Ford Fairlane. By 1970, the Torino was the primary name for Ford’s intermediate size model, making the Fairlane a subseries of the Torino.
